In leaching, ore which has been ground to pulp is placed in agitated tanks with sodium cyanide solution and gold and silver is dissolved into the slurry solution. The leach may require 24 to 72 hours to complete, and after the leach is completed, the leached slurry is routed to the CIP circuit.
Mining at Cobre Panama involves ultraclass scaled mining equipment and conventional open pit methods at up to approximately 83 Mbcm of ore and waste mined per annum. The multiple pits will be mined in an optimized sequence and in phases, with ore crushed in pit and conveyed overland to the nearby processing plant.
Extract copper and gold from low grade ores more efficiently. Ore deposits are becoming increasingly complex to treat and grades continue to deteriorate in known reserves. For instance, approximately 15 20 per cent of the worlds current gold production involves refractory ores that must be pre treated prior to
Veragold Panama is a private, emerging mining company preparing to be a gold and silver producer in the Republic of Panama. Veragolds principal asset is the world class Minas Santa Rosa project near Cañazas, Republic of Panama. With over 1.2M ounces of gold already defined, along with over 5M ounces of silver, a 6000tpd environmentally and ...
A leaching of 56.7% gold was obtained under the optimum condition of 0.1M ammonium thiosulfate, 40 mM copper sulfate, pH: 10 10.5, pulp density: 10 g/L at room temperature and stirring speed of 250 rpm in 8h duration. The maximum leaching of gold in the pH range 10 10.5 may be attributed to the higher stability of the ammonium thiosulfate.
01/12/2002· Leaching of gold in thiosulfate solution results in the formation of a stable complex and is described by the equation Au +2 S 2 O 3 2 Au 2 3 +e . The dissolution step in ammoniacal thiosulfate solution is an electrochemical reaction and is promoted by the presence of cupric ions Aylmore and Muir, 2001, Aylmore, 2001.
The Molejon gold project is about 120km west of Panama's capital Panama City and about 10km from the Caribbean coast. The project is wholly owned by Petaquilla Minerals. It is spread over an area of 842km2 of concession land. In June 2005, the project agreement was signed
The present work deals with the recovery of gold using ammonium thiosulfate as a leaching agent from waste mobile PCBs containing 0.021% Au, 0.1% Ag, 56.68% Cu, 1.61% Ca, 1.42% Al, 1.40% Sn, 0.24% ...
average cost per ounce of gold is 7% higher in the 5,000t/d case, the overall economics are better thanks to the reduced capital expenditure both initially and ongoing. In all cases the NPV of the CVL installation betters the base case, which is aided by the short leach duration, which leads to a rapid realization of gold production.
